Nightmare first dates, for a dating app

  • For a brand
  • Nine short films
  • October 2025

A comedy character for Wisp, a dating app: a woman who gets every first date badly wrong.

What I made

  • A loveable loser, written for short films: every first date she goes on falls apart.
  • Nine short films in the first batch. Three of them are below.

My part

The idea and the character, the casting, the shoot and the edits.

Three of the films

The claw machine
The serenade
Nan's 70th

From the shoot

The character on her bed, under a wall of photos of herself and her date.
Her bedroom wall.
The character in a wedding dress and veil, sitting in a white toy car in a car park.
Ready for the serenade.

Got a brand that deserves a daft idea?
